Food trucks are gradually gaining ground in Delhi NCR with several of them functioning successfully in various areas and itaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽs no less than a miracle to watch a small crew whip up amazing dishes in a restricted space. Noida has a host of food trucks parked near Amity University and the office area. One of them is Burnout Food Truck which began a few months ago and already has acquired a loyal clientele comprising of people from all age groups.
Co-owned by Karishma Agarwal and Shobhit, the Burnout Food Truck serves a slew of fast food items like Burgers, Sandwiches, Quesadillas, Tacos and Burritos. Mexican cuisine is their forte and they sure do it very well. They have stuck to the authenticity of Mexican cuisine which I really appreciate. We ordered a Great Indian Chicken Tikka Burger, Mexican Chicken Taco, and Cheese Mushroom Quesadilla along with an Irish Cold Coffee and Lemon Iced Tea.
The Great Indian Chicken Burger was GIGANTIC in every sense of the word. The bun was huge so roll up your sleeves before you dig in! The Chicken Tikka patty was grilled well but there was nothing aﾯﾾﾾﾽ?Indianaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽ about it. The spice quotient came from the sauces they used to dress the patty. A generous amount of Tandoori or Peri Peri Mayo gives it the requisite zing. Some plain Mayo, lettuce, onion and tomatoes make it a fulfilling dish. The patty could have been tenderer but the overall experience was quite good.
Cheese Mushroom Quesadilla was my favorite here. This is a dish that you just cannot miss. I am a big cheese fanatic and this dish had me tight in its clutches with its taste and presentation. Every quesadilla was topped by an olive at its peak. The amount of cheese was perfect too, neither too much nor too less.
The Mexican Chicken Taco failed to leave an impression. To begin with, the chicken was a bit dry. The ingredients provided a large range of flavor with jalapenos, olives, capsicum, and lettuce but the dressing/sauce used was way too less to encompass it all. Overall, it wasnaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽt very appetizing and failed to reach the bar set high by the previous two dishes.
Both the beverages were pretty good. Though there was nothing different or aﾯﾾﾾﾽ?Irishaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽ about the Irish Cold Coffee, it was very refreshing and the presentation was quite appealing as well. The Lemon Iced tea had a strong citric tinge to it and went well with the food.
I especially appreciate their systematic and smooth functioning. They donaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽt litter around and the service is quite prompt. Burnout Food Truck is parked opposite to the Dell building near Amity, Noida from 12:30-4 p.m. and at ATS hamlet from 5:30-10:30 p.m. They are absolutely worthy of your time and money. Hoping for more such food trucks to invade Delhiaﾯﾾﾾﾽﾯﾾﾾﾽs food scene!
